First PEO. Four proposals collected. The recommended one priced the same enrollment at $492,000 against $573,000, enough to cover the PEO's entire admin fee with HR, payroll and workers' comp included.
PEO Consulting Partners compares 36 PEOs for employers in 46 states, rebuilds every quote line by line, and negotiates the one you pick. The PEO pays our fee. You never do.
Get my free PEO comparison →Our advisors spent years inside the PEO industry before founding PEO Consulting Partners in 2024, and watched the same thing happen over and over: a business owner heard one sales pitch from one provider, had no benchmark, and signed. The fit was often wrong for their size, state or industry, and the price was whatever the first rep wrote down.
A PEO decision touches payroll, health insurance, workers’ comp and compliance for every employee, usually for years. It deserves the same treatment as any other six-figure purchase: several bids, the same columns for each, and someone on the buyer’s side of the table.
That is the whole business. We are headquartered in Winter Haven, Florida, and work with employers nationwide.
When you choose a PEO through us, that PEO pays us a share of its own administrative fee, the same channel-partner arrangement it offers any broker. It comes out of the PEO’s margin, not added to your invoice, and we negotiate your rate down knowing exactly how that margin works.
Because the arrangement is the same across all 36 PEOs we carry, we have no financial reason to prefer one over another. We say so in writing on every comparison.
If the right answer is to stay where you are, or that a PEO is the wrong tool for your business, we tell you that too. We are paid on placements that last, not on placements.
Four steps. Most comparisons are back within 1 to 2 business days of receiving the quotes.
Two minutes online or a short call: headcount, states, industry, what is working and what is not. If you already have a PEO, we start from your current invoice.
We request proposals from the PEOs that fit your size, states and industry, then rebuild each one line by line: admin fee, medical by plan and tier, workers' comp, SUTA, setup and technology fees, exit terms.
Three finalists on one page, priced on your actual census, with the plan designs next to the premiums so a cheaper number with a worse deductible is obvious.
We push back on the line items that move, help with implementation, and review the year-two renewal before you sign it.
Figures are the reviewed current-versus-proposed medical totals from the quote workbooks. Client names withheld at their request.
First PEO. Four proposals collected. The recommended one priced the same enrollment at $492,000 against $573,000, enough to cover the PEO's entire admin fee with HR, payroll and workers' comp included.
Five quotes. The recommended plan moved every employee to a national carrier at $119,000 against $162,000, with a lower out-of-pocket maximum on each plan, and took eleven states of compliance off the founders' desks.
The rules every engagement runs on. Hold us to them.
No PEO owns us, employs us, or pays us a volume bonus. Our fee is the same whichever of the 28 you choose, and we will tell you to stay put if your current setup is the right answer.
PEO quotes are built to be signed, not compared. We rebuild each one so admin, medical, workers' comp, pass-through taxes and one-time fees sit in the same columns for every bidder.
Every comparison is priced on your actual employees, plans and tiers. We do not show savings from a hypothetical group.
You get the side-by-side, the plan designs, and the reason we would pick one over the others, in writing. Take it to your CPA or your current broker.
Most of the cost in a PEO relationship shows up at the first renewal. We review it with you before you sign, and we handle the exit if the PEO stops delivering.
The figures on this site come from real quote workbooks we reviewed line by line. Client names are withheld at the clients' request.
Employers from about 5 to 500 employees, most often between 10 and 150, in one of three situations: choosing a PEO for the first time, unhappy with the PEO they have, or facing a renewal that no longer looks like the deal they signed. Multi-state teams are common. So are owners who use Gmail and have never seen a PEO quote before; that is fine.
